I love my M43 cameras and I love my Lightroom presets but sometimes they do not work together. As I am used to apply my presets without thinking a lot about them I find out that some of my presets create a strange looking of my photos. On the first look the image is OK. But if you zoom in you see some kind of strange noise. The preset I applyed to this shot pushed the sharpening slider up to 130. As I am using my preset most of the time to start my editing, I started to become disappointed with the micro four thirds sensors but I was acepting it and hoping that the E-M1 Mark 2 or a PEN-F could solve this behaviour. But than I had a look on the sharpening slider and reduced the sharpening to 35. The noise is now nearly gone. OK this snap shot with the E-M10 Mark 2 and the kit lens M.Zuiko 12-50mm @ macro setting (43mm) is in general not the sharpest. But this effect appears to all my pictures if I push the sharpening slider to much! On the demonstration picture in web size I see no major difference sliding back from 130 to 35, but in 100% the less sharpened picture is more pleasing to my eyes. So be careful with the sharpening tool!

Hi Paul, i shoot in RAW and JPG. This sample is from RAW. I think if I would change sone of the sharpening parameters I could increase sharpening a little more.
